Improved schedules across the Atlantic

15 April 2011

The joint business partnership between British Airways and American Airlines has improved schedules, effectively created a transatlantic shuttle service between the top US-UK routes.

Many routes have benefitted from timings being aligned, giving more opportunities and better connections on flights to the UK and Europe. For example, flights from Chicago to London now take off every hour from 5.00pm to 8.00pm, whereas previously the four flights departed at similar times.

Also, additional services are now available through BA: you can book direct services from Chicago and New York to Manchester at the Hub, and to London Heathrow from Raleigh Durham.

There are increased services on some routes; you can now fly daily from Tampa to London Gatwick, and a new direct service from San Diego to London Heathrow starts 01 June 2011, becoming British Airways’ third service to London from California, in addition to Los Angeles and San Francisco.
