Coronavirus outbreak

Following the COVID-19 disruption and as we return to flying, this page will be updated with key information and links you can refer to in relation to your bookings and future booking plans.

Policy for trade group bookings - effective December 15, 2021

To assist our valued Trade partners with un-ticketed existing and new Group bookings made for travel before August 31, 2022, the following policy has been introduced: the following policy has been introduced:

Bookings can be cancelled without additional penalty* up to 30 days before departure.  Space must be released by August 1, 2022.

*Any deposit amount will be retained by British Airways as Credit to be redeemed for travel up to September 30, 2023 (all sectors must be completed by this date).

To take advantage of this, you must keep a record of the booking reference associated with the flights that you are cancelling. Contact us when you have made your new flight reservation in order to apply the value.

For new and existing ticketed Group bookings made since June 1, 2020 for travel before August 31, 2022, the following option applies:

  • One free change for travel up to September 30, 2023
    (subject to availability. All sectors must be completed by this date)

  • One free name-change per passenger

  • Re-routing permitted

  • Any additional fare and/or tax must be collected 

  • Free changes apply once per ticket, not per policy update. (Changes agreed and processed as a result of a schedule change do not affect this free change entitlement)

For all existing and new, ticketed and un-ticketed Group bookings held for travel commencing September 1, 2022, Standard Pre-COVID-19 Group Terms and Conditions policy will be re-introduced.
